A few posts ago Juerg asked if I could ride powercranks for 30-40 minutes before getting tired or only a few minutes...if it was only a few minutes i think (and I hope I'm not wrong) that it was neuromuscular co-ordination that was the weak point...I still haven't done my tests (sorry Juerg, but I will, I promise)...but my question is, why then if I ride the PCranks 2-legs at the same time, after 45 minutes my heart rate has steadily crept up, or after 8 minutes 1-leg, the same thing...if it's simply neuromuscular fatigue as opposed to metabolic fatigue, why does my heart rate increase...maybe it's so easy that I can see it, but i'll think about it while I'm riding...

ps...I did some 1 leg forward, 1-leg backward riding yesterday...I would do one direction for a minute, then the other for another minute and then take a 4 minute break (not enough!, but I learned)...I could only manage 1 minute and then my co-ordination was totally blown and my heart rate went sky high...I only did 2 sets of this and my total riding time was 30 minutes (how bad is that) but I can definitely feel my hip flexors! yikes...
pps...no one responded to my idea of riding for 10s per leg and then switching...what am I training, what might happen (benefits? drawbacks?)...just some ideas...
