Oxygen and movement ?

I have the one question now :
O2 is not water soluble and CO2 is. Therefor , no significant oxygen gets to any cell unless it is carried on hemoglobin.
I am not sure , but the red blood cells are cells and the Oxygen moves from the lungs to them ( binding on the hemoglobin.
I got the impression from before , that there is diffusion from the alveoli to the blood.So besides hemoglobin there is or are perhaps otherways how oxygen could move.
Just wondering , whether this is another confusing correction as Rene mentioned ?
