Wattage remained consistent for 11 days after using Herbs model for calibrating accurate wattage on the tacx Basic. On the 11th day the calibration went out (reason unknown). Repeating the calibration process of entering factor 118 immediately solved the problem.
Cost down time from 200 watts had increased from 6 sec to 10 sec, and 200 W provided a speed of 28k instead of 30 (turns out to be 29.9 on mine).
Not sure why calibration went out, but at least it is known that it may go out, and that it is easy to reset.
It is worth it to check calibration every ride with the timed coast down test. I do it at about the 7 to 10 minute mark so everything is really warm.
(tire pressure, roller pressure, room temp, always the same)
