Great stuff Juerg...I hope I can see a jump in power output like your athlete did this year...I've been trying to do some background research on the possibility of coming up with simple tests for different types of fatigue...I guess after all the great stuff during the last couple of weeks I finally hit a brick wall...the only one I could think of was a possible neuromuscular test (I hope...anyone feel free to shoot it down if I'm on the wrong track)...Juerg wrote a while ago that he may ask his athlete's to do some big gear jumps of 4-8 s...well...if an athlete knows how much power or rpm they can do in 8s in a non-fatigued state (with the same gear and incline) then why not do a 8 s jump...if you can't reproduce the power or revolutions then is this a possible sign of neuromuscular fatigue?...this is just a thought...the other one about psychological fatigue, I'm going to e-mail a sports psych friend of mine for some ideas...I think the hardest one might be neuroendocrine and I'm totally blank on that right now...I'm trying to get my old notes from uni and personal study to create the background info that I'm sometimes lacking, but it will take a while...cheers for now
