After all this years we see a clear trend in mails and questions on the use of the Fit Mate.
This low cost VO2 assessment equipment has established itself in many fitness centers not just as a VO2 max assessment tool but even more for RMR and for circuit workouts.
There are some other great VO2 equipments out there in the same price range. What moves the Fit Mate ahead of them is its portability and its nice way of looking live easy at the datas as the show up.
The small unit combined with the light mask and the small sampling tube make it very portable and it is easy to follow your clients through a circuit, whether they do upper , core or lower extremity exercises.
The collection of this information gives a unique individual profile for weight loss classes and for individual nutritional programming.
The ability to run 45 - 50 min nonstop as well is often used during workouts to assess more than just VO2 but establish some ideas on efficient techniques during endurance sports but as well as changes in respiration for people with COPD and other respiratory problems.
The Fit Mate established himself as one of the unique tools for fitness centers to bring science closer to the public and out of the university labs.
Thanks for all the great mails and questions and suggestions in this direction and I look forward to 2012
